With manga and anime being part of my everyday life ever since I was a teenager, eventually, I ended up playing lots of adult video games, especially the hentai ones, and I will say that The Menagerie is a solid title. Even though the story might be light on the amount of sexual content and lacks a lot of perverted stuff that I'm used to, it still manages to hit a couple of fetishes. Let me give you a short description of the game, and then I will share my humble opinion of it.
The Menagerie is about a lovely sexting babe called Rao-Ji, who belongs to the race of creatures known as Drachene, and she is a futanari or a hermaphrodite for those who are not fully familiar with the hentai porn lingo. Rao-Ji was hatched in the Menagerie, which is in simple terms a large housing/shopping complex for the corrupt upper class in the Middle Eastern city called Alabast, and she was born into slavery, to be raised as a prostitute as you may guess. Now, the scenes are pretty light in number, but they are intense enough, which is a plus. There are some fetishes other than the already mentioned futanari, like some light BDSM stuff going on, another plus. Also, I would give a thumbs-up for the in-game artwork, but the bad thing is that there is no voice-acting, which is becoming increasingly popular, and even though the music fits the mood of the hentai games, I feel that the tracklist is a bit short. Also, much like the short music list, the game itself lasts for about, give or take, two hours, no matter which out of the three available paths you choose to take, meaning that in about six hours you will experience everything there is to this game and such a short length makes it hard for the characters to develop, and in my opinion the creators should make it just a bit longer. Don't get me wrong, it is still a very nice and lovely little visual novel with hot erotic scenes, but I would think twice whether or not to go over $10 for this one, especially when I compare some other games of the same genre in that price range. So hey, if you don't mind spending a couple of bucks and if you are a big hentai lover like myself, go for it, give it a shot.Key Features
