Menko playing cards are a Japanese phenomenon, a baseball card form of factor which are frail in a flip card sport widespread amongst Japanese schoolchildren from the 40s except the 80s.
Rainbow Soldier Robin is obviously the 1966 Toei shaded and white television comic strip created by Shotaro Ishinomori.
Fun fact: I supplied my Menko playing cards from Bob “Flaming Carrot” Burden at an Atlanta convention one day in the Eighties.
