I intended to notify the untimely loss of life of Kevin O’Neill sooner than now, but my energy stages had been pretty low these outdated few days. I will no longer be 100% clear, but I think I met him – or at the very least observed him – around the 2000 A.D. offices at the very least as soon as, and possess the influence I observed him yet again when he introduced in his resized pages of Metalzoic to Irwin House for reprinting in 2000 A.D. Talented artist, and a unhappy loss for comics, even supposing I read he’d retired from the medium.
Thoroughly different blogs can possess more detailed accounts of the man’s existence and profession, and there are certain to be hundreds heartfelt tributes from of us that knew and worked with him, and deservedly so. For my fill allotment, even though I never knew him and fully maybe met him, or no longer it is a unhappy loss the total same, so R.I.P. Kevin. The above cropped picture is from Ally Sloper #2, taken at Comics 101 in 1976 (I think). That’s Kevin on the left, and the bespectacled man on the magnificent is Frank Hampson.
So I’m pretty unhurried with this, but I didn’t desire Kevin’s passing to creep unacknowledged on Crivens!
